  This place is a must!  The people who own it are SO friendly and welcoming, and it is a local hot spot.  Always jammed packed but so worth the wait for good homemade food.  It tastes like everything is made fresh -- their corned beef hash is absolutely delicious!  
  
  The servers are friendly and efficient and after eating here about half a dozen times, I've yet to have something that isn't delicious (I've only had their breakfast items) and to have a wait person who isn't friendly.  There is always enough for leftovers for breakfast the next day (and I'm a hearty eater!).
  
  Make the trek -- you'll be glad you did!

  This is definitely a good breakfast spot if you're looking for typical breakfast food. I ordered an omlette which was super filling and lasted me for a good chunk of the day. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly and helpful. It's pretty easy to find as well.
  
  The portions are a good size. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. I'm not sure if I would seek it out, but if I were looking for breakfast food at a reasonable price I would definitely stop in.

  Great breakfast spot in South Natomas! Since chicken fried steak and pancakes are my thing, I knew I had to try Hot Off The Griddle. Plus the reviews were top notch! Their breakfast/brunch menu reminds me of Black Bear Diner, but their decor and hours do not. Similar to BBD, they offer the large size portion chicken fried steak with eggs, potatoes, and two good sized pancakes! Not similar to Black Bear Diner, their decor is much more plain and they close at 2:00pm! I came on a Saturday morning for breakfast and my experience was excellent! There was a short wait, but food and service were fantastic.
  
  I ordered the XL Meal of Chicken Fried Steak ($16.99), which comes with 3 eggs, house potatoes, and two pancakes. The chicken fried steak wasn't as thick as BBD, but it was really good and there was plenty! Two large pieces, breaded fried, and covered in gravy...it was delicious! Their house potatoes are excellent! Some of the best I have had! I ordered 3 eggs over medium and they came out just right. Now I was skeptical of the pancakes at first, but they surely did not disappoint! They were cooked very well with just the right amount of fluff in middle and crisp at edge. I also tried some of the eggs benedict, which was really good.
  
  Our waitress was super nice and provided great service with a friendly smile. When asking for extra plates to share, utensils, or to-go boxes, there was no problem. She brought everything out kindly and thoroughly. She even stood on a chair to take a picture for us!
  
  Overall, we had a really great first experience at Hot Off The Griddle! The food and drinks for breakfast were really good and service was great. They are located in the plaza next to CVS, on the corner of Truxel and West El Camino and parking is not a problem.

  Easily the best breakfast spot in the Sacramento area! Affordable, delicious, clean, & best of all friendly staff! This location is not too far from Downtown Sac, it's a quick 5 minute drive from there! I ordered the Two's Breakfast. ( 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage, 2 pancakes, French toast, or waffles) , I also had to get a side of there house potatoes! Some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked with the perfect crispiness lol. Pancakes were delicious too! Definitely will come back anytime i'm in Sacramento!

  I think my fiance thinks he's apart of the family here. This is his favorite breakfast place.
  
  Hot Off The Griddle is awesome! So consistently delicious, yet humble and down to earth! The gentlemen that own it are always cooking, their mom is the sweetest gem ever at the front of the house & their staff all around are chill, yet have great customer service.
  
  I'm obsessed with eggs Benedict and it was amazing here! The prices are great, and not to mention, this place is so clean!
